The project

A 92 m² flat in a classic Gràcia building, opened up to the light again without losing its beams, its window frames or its character.

The project is the full renovation of a 92 m² flat on carrer d'Astúries, in a classic building. The intervention respects the historic character of the building and renews the interiors to gain functionality and natural light, a highly valuable resource in Barcelona's Mediterranean climate.

The original layout was rethought to open up the spaces and let the shared and private areas flow into one another. The result is a more up-to-date, more comfortable home.

The same room, another life.

The starting point had kept what mattered: the beamed ceiling and the original openings. The renovation gives them the leading role.
